Posted by admin Posted Date: Wednesday, 14 July 2010 16:56 PM

No matter how much we take care of the rest of our body, wrinkly hands are the bane of any woman as she gets older, and often a source of embarrassment and worry.

But no longer! Help is at ‘hand’! (Sorry!)

Dr Ravi Jain swears by Radiesse for wrinkly hands, and July’s special offer means you can sooon have great hands AND a great complexion to match!

Radiesse – One treatment, INSTANT RESULTS.

Radiesse, which works by stimulating the skin to encourage collagen to re-grow, can also be used for instant hand wrinkle-reducing results. Some local anaesthetic is mixed into the Radiesse and then injected into the back of the hands. Between 1 to 4 injections may be required per hand, and the procedure is very comfortable. Massage is then applied by the doctor afterwards and then you have instant hand rejuvenation.

Results are FANTASTIC, and patients report back high rates of satisfaction. The effects last about 1 year so an annual top up is required.

But let’s be honest – if your hands are looking better and less wrinkled, they may still have age spots or sun damage, and that’s going to spoil the look completely. So, along with your Radiesse, you can look forward to 2 IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments on yourhands!!

How to rejuvenate ageing hands

Posted by admin Posted Date: Monday, 17 May 2010 13:08 PM

For some people ageing hands are a very serious and worrying part of their body. Sometimes the loss of firmness and volume can leave your hands looking worn, aged and weak. It can make you feel self conscious and nervous about yourself. In some cases you might even try to cover your hands with gloves or clothing.

However, there is a method which can significantly reduce the effects of ageing hands. Up until now the procedures involved in rejuvenating ageing hands were not ideal. No specific technique has worked perfectly and methods are often intrusive and very painful. But there is an option which is realistic and non-invasive.

In this article we’re going to look at the treatment of Radiesse. The treatment itself contains a dermal filler which consists of calcium hydroxylapatite. The CaHA is injected into the skin and then moulded into place. The affects of the procedure are noticed immediately and do not require constant visits and follow up treatments.

The research

The Dermatologic Surgery published a research paper on the use of Radiesse in April 2010. The study involved 6 countries across Europe with 62 adult patients. The research wanted to examine how effective calcium hydroxylapatite or CaHA is when combined with anaesthetic at combating diminished volume in ageing hands.

Younger looking hands in half an hour?

Before Radiesse

They do say that the main thing that gives away the age of a woman is her hands. Think back to all the stories about Madonna and her youthful looks – her face looks great but her hands are definitely showing signs of aging.

But it needn’t be that way.

This article in the Daily Mail tells us:

As well as the passage of time, sun is the main culprit when it comes to ageing our hands, closely followed by that familiar old enemy, smoking.

Anything that dries the skin, such as extreme cold or using lots of cleaning products, also hastens the ageing process.

Reading the article, we’ve no doubt that the process written about works, but our very own Dr Ravi Jain would rather recommend Radiesse.

He says:

We use Radiesse (and have been doing so for over 1 year). Results last well for a year and it is relatively pain free with only 4-5 injection sites needed unlike some other procedures. Patients love it!
