Wayne Rooney hair transplant – we’re happy he’s happy!

Wayne Rooney before Hair Transplant

It’s a sad fact that a lot of celebrities undergo surgery and cosmetic enhancements, but the deny having them or try to hide the evidence. Whether it be Fern and her gastric band, Dannii and her Botox, or Gordon and his injectables.

So we were delighted to see footballer Wayne Rooney happily talking on Twitter about his recent hair transplant.

Well known for his balding pate for a number of years, it seems that Wayne has finally decided to do something about it and restore his follicles to their former glory. And good on him, we say! In this day and age there’s no need to be balding unless you want to be.

The majority of men are affected by premature hair loss, commonly caused by an irreversible inherited condition known as male pattern baldness (MPB). Typically with this condition, hair is lost gradually from the top of the head but continues to grow at the back and sides. Generally, men accept the condition with varying degrees of resignation, but increasing numbers have decided to take action – not surprisingly given the vital importance of one’s personal appearance in today’s work and social situations.

Can women have Vaser Hi Def?

We’re often asked whether women are suitable for Vaser HiDef and the answer is a resounding YES!

Most women do not want a six pack, but would prefer the muscles to be defined along the borders of the stomach muscles, from the bust down to the groin, without the horizontal lines.

Women´s waistlines can be transformed in to hour glass figures, and we can even increase the definition around your breasts as well.

Your Hi Def specialist will discuss with you your goals and ensure you have enough information to take with you to make an informed decision. It is important that, your skin tone is good, as saggy skin wiill not shrink back enough and cling to the muscles. Your suitability will be determined at your consultation.

What do I do now?

If you would like to book a doctors consultation to find out if Vaser or Vaser Hi Def is suitable for you, please call our friendly team on 0844 704 7752 or fill in our Vaser Hi Def contact form.

What is Vaser Hi Def?

Posted by admin Posted Date: Monday, 09 May 2011 14:32 PM

We know that VASER already gives amazing results to thousands of people around the world. The HiDef technique now takes those results even further to a level you could have only dreamed of.

At Riverbanks Clinic, our approved VASER HiDef specialists use advanced VASER techniques to reveal your hidden muscle definition around your abdomen, chest, upper arms, back and even legs, being personally trained by the innovator of the technique, Dr Alfredo Hoyos from Colombia. Dr Ravi Jain was so impressed by Dr Hoyo´s technique, that following his Hi Def training, he visited Dr Hoyos´s practice in Bogota, Colombia to gain even further experience.

The results are truly amazing, as the pictures below show!

Vaser Hi Def was developed to create an athletic look in both men and women. It is not reserved for high-level fit people, but for normal people that desire to look the-best-ever.

What Causes Manboobs / Gynecomastia?

Posted by admin Posted Date: Wednesday, 04 May 2011 08:46 AM

Manboobs is a pretty horrible word. It is a fairly derogatory term which is usually used in a joking or ribbing fashion, but men are really sensitive about. Considering that over 60% of men will have suffered from ‘manboobs’ in their lifetime, it is almost surprising that the term is used so easily.

Most of the time we use manboobs to describe someone who is overweight and that has developed excess fat in that area, occasionally causing a drooping, breast like effect. This kind of manboob can be worked off in the gym, or treated with a cosmetic procedure.

However there is another side to the manboob – Gynecomastia. This is the abnormal growth of mammary glands or breast tissue in the chest leading to swelling and what can look like breast development.

It isn’t entirely clear why men develop gynecomastia although it is believed that it is predominantly down to hormonal changes on the body. For example, during puberty, a lot of boys will develop gynecomastia and experience the development of breasts or swelling in the chest area. By the time they leave their teens it has usually completely disappeared – although for some it can last in to adulthood.

Don’t let the sun damage your body this Summer

Sun damage clearly visible (c) Wikipedia

It is incredible to look back over the centuries and find out how all the different attitudes that people had towards sun and tanning have changed.

At one point being tanned was only for the lower class who worked outside on the land and the more wealthy people would prefer to remain pale, as an indication of the status. This is still the case in some Far Eastern countries too.

Then we started to see the ‘healthy glow’ of a tan as a positive thing – although some people took it too far and did irreparable damage to themselves through excessive sun exposure.

It doesn’t just take lying for hours in the sunshine or visiting sunbeds regularly to cause skin damage. In fact, every single day your skin is exposed to UV (Ultra-Violet) light and causes some kind of damage – even when you can’t see the sun itself. You can’t even feel the UV rays so it is difficult to understand exactly what is happening.

Dr Ravi Jain – best for breasts and tummies!

Posted by admin Posted Date: Wednesday, 06 April 2011 12:02 PM

We’re delighted to let our patients know that Dr Ravi Jain of Riverbanks Clinic has been featured in the Tatler Beauty and Cosmetic Surgery guide.

His entry is featured below – click on the image to see a bigger version and read how they described Dr Jain as ‘clean cut, softly spoken and extremely knowledgeable’, and Riverbanks as ‘possibly the cosiest clinic in the UK’

If you can’t read the image, we have transcribed the copy below:

“Clean-cut, softly spoken and extremely knowledgable, Dr Jain is a rare breed: a country doctor with a big-city pedigree. He runs Riverbanks, possibly the cosiest clinic in the UK. Set in a converted 250-year-old pub in rural Bedfordshire, it boasts five state of the art treatment rooms and an on-site operating theatre. A lot of Dr Jain’s patients are mothers form his daughter’s school – a good endorsement, we think – and consultations are done over coffee, which puts nervous first timers at ease. He is an expert on VASER, a body sculpting technique that uses ultrasound to breakdown fat. You can also seek him outing town, as he visits London weekly to consult at smart rooms in Chelsea*. Consultation £50, Vaser from £2000. Ring 08447047761 or visit riverbanksclinic.co.uk”
